Azimpur Govt. Girl’s School and College is a public girl’s high school and college in Dhaka. The school and college was established in 1957. This glorious and historical girls’ school and college was established on a vast campus area of 5.3 acres. Since its establishment, it is enlightening the younger generation with modern education. Around 4,000 students study at the school and college every year. This institution has 50 classrooms including 16 multimedia classrooms in 3 academic buildings. There are also an auditorium, 2 seminar halls, The educational institution has the accreditation of the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka. The EIIN number of the school and college is 108163. The institution maintains very strong co-curricular activities. There are many clubs and organizations at the school and college, such as Debating Club, Quiz Club, Science Club, English Club, Book Club, Cultural Club, and many more. There is also a rich library on the campus. The playground of the campus is enormous.

Azimpur Govt. Girl’s School and College teaches female students of class-1 to class-12. All the classes are divided into multiple sections (A, B, C, and D). 60 to 90 students are admitted into each section. The school and college teaches students in two shifts (morning shift and day shift). The classes in the morning shift are held between 7:30 am and 12 pm. Likewise, the classes in the day shift are held between 12:30 and 5 pm. The educational institution teaches students of all classes in the Bengali curriculum (Bangla Version).

Azimpur Govt. Girls’ School and College Admission
The Directorate General of Secondary and Higher Education, Dhaka divided the government schools of the city into groups: Group-A, Group-B, and Group-C. Azimpur Govt. Girl’s School and College has been included in Group-A (Cluster-A). Students have to apply through a government web portal for admission. They can apply for 5 schools according to their choice in each group (cluster). There are a few quotas available. The students are advised to checkmark them (if applicable) while applying to increase the possibility of getting selected.
Class-1: The admission to the class is based on a lottery.
Class-2 to 8: The admission to the class is based on admission tests.
Class-9: The admission to the class is based on JSC or JDC exam results.
Students of all classes have to apply through the same web portal mentioned above.
