Tour Itinerary For Egypt Tour Package
Day 1: { Meals: Dinner.}
Our representative will be waiting for you when you arrive at Cairo International Airport to assist you with all of the necessary processes for passport control as well as the identification of your luggage. You will get back above ground and you will continue to visit Pompey’s pillar a Roman Triumphal Column that is truly famous in Alexandria it is the largest one to be built during the Roman empire to honor Emperor Diocletian. It measures 20.75 meters long, 2.70 meters broad at the bottom of its base, and 2.30 meters wide at the crown at the end of the pillar. The column is fashioned out of a single piece of red granite and was carved from a single block of granite.
Then you will head to The Citadel of Qaitbay. This picturesque fortress was built during the 14th century to defend Alexandria from the advances of the Ottoman Empire it was established in 1477 AD by Sultan Al-Ashraf Qa’it Bay and is located in the spot where the fabled Pharos Lighthouse once stood. The Pharos Lighthouse was recognized as one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
